Hi-Lok CRP2979U Collar Removal Pliers offer a more aggressive offset of about 45°
CALL FOR PRICING
Similar to the standard CRP100 Collar Removal Pliers, the CRP2979U Collar Removal Pliers offer a more aggressive offset of about 45°. The jaw serrations are perpendicular to the collar seating surface when the handles are laid flat, and angle at about 45° if the flat part of the head is rested on the collar seating surface.
The jaw opening varies from .18” to .45”. This is wide enough for -5, -6, & -8 collars, and with a ”strong grip”, torques up to 150 lb-in are reported on aluminum collars. (maximum achievable torque will be less on Steel and Titanium collars)
Where access is still a problem, or if additional torque is required, we recommend these other fine options:
Plier Style: CRP100 provides somewhat less offset, and larger jaw capacity.
Socket Style: OMSK Series or Savi Series. Both styles of sockets can be used with conventional square drive ratchet wrenches.
Wrench Style: REM100 series tools, available in flat, offset, open-end, and crow-foot styles.
Equivalent Part Numbers: AT2979U, 14048 BAHCO, ATSK3579
