Tis’ The Season
December 15, 2019
As a company committed to making the world a better place, giving back to the communities in which Convertus operates is just one of the many ways they improve the environment as a healthier, safer and happier place to live. This season they had the pleasure of working with a number of local groups that were focused on children initiatives.
In December, they became a prominent sponsor for a local chapter of Make-A-Wish Canada, a nonprofit organization granting wishes to children who are battling critical illnesses. During a themed wish reveal, Convertus alongside other Calendar of Wishes sponsors surprised a child, with his wish to go to his favourite theme park in Orlando, Florida.
For the second year in a row, they sponsored 25 underprivileged youths to attend a London Knights’ Hockey game. The children participated in a dressing room tour, the “High 5 Alley”, sat in the penalty box for warm-up and ate pizza! As one of the largest corporate sponsors, Convertus was also showcased on the video board.
With Christmas in mind, the team also collected and donated unwrapped toys and gifts from staff to donate to a local drop off center for families in need.
“As a successful business, we understand that giving back to local communities promotes goodwill, boosts internal employee morale and improves the areas in which we reside, all of which are good reasons to continue to work with giving campaigns and volunteer opportunities in our communities,” said Ann-Marie Cooper, Communications Advisor.
